Schools not working correctly

Have the 4 basic schools. With no one in them or just one a few people. My approval ratting is low due to uneducated and I have 200 people not working so they should beable to go to school?












Window 64bit
Steam downloaded version 0.75.0
region game play 3rd city. Was having this issue in all of them.

Android user here. I am experiencing the same issue. I screwed up trying to fix it, I pulled the "Fire Alarm" and made everyone do a fire drill. Worst decision ever, I lost a week old colony because I thought let's kick them all out and see if it equals back out! Well, it did, sort of; I had everyone educated by the time they all settled back in but my approval rating never went up, they still feared uneducated and all my jobs were filled but every single colonist went on strike. Nothing I did fixed it from there. Needless to say: DO NOT PULL THE FIRE ALARM!!!

As well as this. These 3 have been up for a while. I was looking through the bugs people had to see how they resolved them and these 3 are detrimental to game play and have no love from anyone on how to resolve or if it's a bug that needs patching. Please do get back to me/us on these 3. Tag me if you can so I can see what needs to be done to fix them on my end if it's my ends issue. I love the game had to stop for a while as my device broke and couldn't play it on my cheap phone I had. I did buy premium about a year ago, so I am a sqeaky wheel that payed my way to sqeak when I have issues. ^_^. Sorry to be a hassle and hope to hear back from you!

look at the number of jobs you have that dont require any IQ. if its less than the number of colonists you have, then that might be the reason. also look if you have enough schools and colleges that provide the required IQ level. keep the schools in close by range to houses and work place. as far as i have seen, the colonists search for jobs applicable for them first(non IQ required jobs), if they arent available, then they search for a school that they can get in. remember, even schools and colleges have a minimum IQ required for students to get in. after they get eductated from school, they again search for Jobs with either no IQ or whatever jobs in IQ range they fit in. if they fail to do so again, then again they hunt for even better education and the cycle continues even when they have the highest IQ(300) but if no job is available, they would be searching for schools

I had the same issues as you guys, had to kill off all my colonists twice due to a fire drill.
So the way I keep it in check is put the workload on light most of the time, then when they whine about being uneducated, put it on overtime. They will be bothered by fatigue more than being uneducated.
the game seems to register this as uneducated being solved. Then when it's a bit under half yellow from the fatigue set it to light again, the yellow will keep increasing until 3/4ths or so before going back down.
should leave you with an approval rating of above 90

For me personally, fire drill usually works. Sometimes i have to do it twice in a row. The trouble is though, often fired colonists will just go back to the same job they had... But then be angry because everyone was homeless for a minute.

So what i end up having to do is turn off a few power plants, and then pull the fire drill. That usually ends up doing the trick. Also helps to change work policy to light for a few minutes.

good lord I do not believe it is possible to keep a rating over 90 % any more .
I have had colonys at 100 % for Days Changed NOTHING only to noise dive down into the 30s .
all I can say for sure no matter how bad the rating the colonists seam to work and the game works .
you just get alot of deaths from protesting .
The most Bugy bug in any game They protest them self to death ! lololol
BTW building ten star gates then the protesters all leave I did this once and had a 10 k drop befor it stopped then it never did build back up they left just as fast as they arived

My colony had been dead for the very same reason and turns out, even gifting them 300 isnt changing any approval stats for my colony. i had to go back to 2 previous backups to finally find a running version of my colony.
i have had tried the steam, the native and the web versions and tested and experimented hell lot of stuff for almost a month but to no avail. the game was running at like 1 frame per 15-20 mins and after some time, it would just freeze to eternity, moving a few frames which i noticed just due to the GBT ticker. please look into this matter again
