Right now I've tried the "Contact Ambassador" Button, and it seems to do nothing. Could there be added functions for withdrawing embassies/diplomatic missions?

What contact ambassador are you referring to?

In the embassy section of stats, if you click one of the embassies, the last button I think is the contact ambassador. I as well don't know what it does, never knew what it meant

Yes it shows up when the other colony is online. It was supposed to do things like check the staffing levels of your embassy, send supplies or aid to the colony, or even hire a spy to conduct espionage, like steal a tech or something. Just another thing on the massive to-do list.
