If you destroy it or cancel it, the amount of trash is restored in your resources so there's no need to prevent it from being destroyed or cancelled.
I have just done the test and you are right when you destroy a dump or we cancel it will make us recover the waste so impossible to cheat thanks patchdady for the information
nice to see this was added to the game i love burning my waste adds flavour to my atmos
