Oxygen gameplay

Hello guys.

Speaking of this game taken place at early space era with humanity begin exploring things outside, oxygen might be still be a challenge, especially for the early colonies on barren planets - Technologies at that time may not provide really small and effective oxygen generators that can be fitted into small houses easily.

I am suggesting a new necessity resource exclusively for MC2 - Oxygen (O).
Yes, oxygen. Whenever oxygen is not included, nobody is able to survive. Equally important as food and water.
Players would have limited oxygen reserve inside the first lander, and should start getting hands on oxygen production as early as possible.

There are some ways that can obtain oxygen.
  • Water Electrolyser
A very well known method to all, breaking down water to obtain oxygen. First available method.
  • Buildings with Greening properties
Plants can recycle carbon dioxide back to oxygen. It is indeed slower than the previous method, but without upkeep cost for a sustainable oxygen source.
  • Import
Once you have a Airdrop Pad, you can always order oxygen supplies from headquarters on Earth, as long as you have some credits can spend for.
  • Atmosphere Converter
Kind of a varient of atmosphere condenser, but that is for obtaining oxygen through catalystic reactions of oxygen containing gas molecules.
You can help by EXPANDING IT.

Sounds like a good idea! Whenever I've showed my friends a My Colony lunar base, they've always found it ludicrous that there are He-3 generators but the colonists still somehow have infinite oxygen. And on that subject, I think that some buildings should be able to produce oxygen as well as atmosphere and the air scrubber should also be able to produce oxygen. Also, maybe some of the water-producing buildings should use up oxygen in production, because, you know, H2O.
