Since My Colony 1 came out, I have been using the font Bigmacca that someone created using a service called fontstruct. This is a Creative Commons licensed font that can be used by pretty much anybody for any project.

I think that at some point I would like to either create or commission a unique font for the My Colony games that would be unique to the brand and that I would own the rights to, so that it could only be used by My Colony (and related) titles.

Wondering if anybody around here had experience in this area, or had artistic abilities and was interested in taking a stab at a new typeface for the games? I believe the typeface could be created with pen and paper, and I could convert it into an actual font myself.

Anyway, there is no hurry on this, but if you or anyone you know might be interested in designing the new title font for My Colony and other related games, let me know and we can discuss terms/requirements/etc!

From what I understand - It can be used for free, but you can pay the font author some money from time to time as a "licensing fee".
