Colonist Thought Bubble.

#1 2017-11-07 19:26:49
I'd be nice if when you click on a colonist a speech bubble can appear that lets you know of their thoughts or suggests about the colony.
.
things like..
I'm heading to work!
I'm just wandering around
I'm going home!
I'm heading to X entertainment location!
I'm heading to a hospital...
.
I'm bored there's nothing to do
I'm feeling sick....
I'm feeling sick....but there's no hospitals.
I'm hungry....
I'm hungry....but rationing is in effect
I'm hungry....but food is scarce
I'm thirsty....
I'm thirsty....but rationing is in effect
I'm thirsty....but water is scarce
.
This Colony Is Great!
Quite a long walk to work...
Theres alot of trash

that's nice, but we would need to make sure that the bubbles didn't pop up for all 2k simulated colonists every time they went to work, felt a certain way, and went to a hospital. I think that maybe every 5 minutes, there is a random selection of 5% of the simulated population, or up to 100 colonists, and gives them a random time to wait before saying a speech bubble. Then, each of those colonists says what they are doing or how they feel after the set time. This equation can be adjusted for the best results

You 4got poll!

yes i was meaning when you click a lone colonist because then you'd be driving mad by the amount of thought bubbles polluting your colony worse than all the trash and mega high atmosphere. I mean if and when things get bad colonists can say something but nothing enough to fill up your screen. could also be interesting if they're protesting they'll be chanting speech bubbles as they march around your government building.
.
as for the poll forgetting the poll.
I follow space engineers...and they've a rule against yes no polls. So i tend not to follow them anywhere else.

since this game is pretty much the same then city skylines(not as complex as city skylines), I would love to see anothr feature from there in my colony, the "Twitter birdie" it's a blue bird sitting on the top of your screen and always give some overview of the feeling of your ppl. When there is a big fire they Twitter about it etc. Would love thar

I like the suggestion but won't this make the coding more complicated?

Group the thought bubble and twitter feed suggestions into one and make a poll. If people like it I can add it to the game. The code for either would not be complicated, only time consuming. But if there is demand for it, it can be done.
