Ape AI is a web-based AI chat application powered by WebLLM that ties in with the Ape Apps ecosystem, but also functions as a privacy focused chat application.

Being a local, on-device AI Application, Ape AI does require above-average hardware to be performant, particularly in the graphics department. Ape AI attempts to remain performant through it's model internal model selection, but the web browser is what it is. You do have the option to greatly increase the capabilities of Ape AI by connecting it to an external Ollama instance.
