I have 2 colonies that have declared independence (from United Earth and Zolarg). How do I get them to trade with each other?

Turns out that having the bugs Harvest causes the slowdowns. I've been doing the bulldozer a bit, but it's frustrating when I click something to bulldoze and it doesn't disappear.

So I started a Zolarg colony and on a planet with Sugarcane. I did not realize that sugarcane multiplies on it's own, and now the map is filled with it and it is slowing down performance. Anyone have a suggestion on how to take care of this because I can't take the stuttering.

I just built 4 Antanium Synthesis Labs. I have plenty of power, sugar, aluminum, and robots, but no Antanium is being produced. They have workers, and the progress bar is filled, but nothing is happening. Any thoughts?
