Update:

After trying and giving up on a 790MB file 2-3 days ago I opened my Downloads folder to find that it's completed and the file is readable. I just tried to download another file that's 3GB+ and it's been showing the partial file only downloaded up to 310MB, which is the same size it's been showing for nearly an hour now. That number has not increased even after refreshing the folder it's in.

Weird because my internal network speeds have been excellent. Synology NAS is hardwired to the core switch with 4 aggregated ethernet cables, each one registering at 100BaseT. Phone of course is connected via WiFi, but sits less than 8' away from the access point, that's also directly connected to the core switch. So it shouldn't be a transfer speed issue. 🤔

I use this app to download video files from my Synology NAS to my Google Pixel phone. Running version 3.2.0. My problem is that only rarely can I get the entire video file (ranges from 700MB to 3 or 4GB in size) to download before it just stops downloading before completion. I then have to delete the partial file and try again. Network/WiFi connection is strong, and when downloading I typically leave the phone in one spot near the access point to minimize signal strength fluctuation.

What might be happening and how can I improve this?
