I think Lord of Galaxy has a point. I don't have a particularly large colony and I like selling 1 million aluminium at a time, if not more. Having to sell it in 50k lots would make me feel like a spammer :(

Edit will it be considered spamming if I post a lot of trades for 50,000 units at the average market price?

When I try to update the screenshot of my colony, the new picture displays in the window, but upon closing the window and reopening the statistics page the screenshot is back to what it was before. It also doesn't update on the web page.

I play on windows 10, always the latest version.

Hey, I have researched all the techs and have seven hundred million research points. I'm sure others have loooads more. Could we have some way of using these research points? I;m not really sure what form that could take but I'd like to have something to use them for.

Perhaps you could spend some number (50 million? 100 million?) for a *temporary* resource production boost (like +10%?)?

Aluminium generators don't strike me as too expensive...

Hey thanks Jclark6544!

The difference in ticks per minute explains why there is a range, that's what I didn't really get.

Great books. I'll have to listen to the radio plays some time.

@Jclark6544 so my aluminium generators use around 16,500 water as indicated by the resources statistics page. How many (active) aluminium generators would this equate to? 2 to 3 leaves a lot of wiggle room when you have that many...
7y ago
@xRude hey mate, I'm sure you don't know how many aluminium generators there are, but how much water do they use? So I can gauge how far off I am... :)

Good point. Hall of congress has it licked.

@barbossa42 that is a very, very cool graph. Are you monitoring the prices per 100 over time? Do you perhaps have longer timescales? Out of pure narcissism I'd like to know if my aluminium selling has had any impact. Plus it is really cool to see the history like that. Huge spikes in prices is very interesting... or is that huge spikes in amount being sold/minute?

The market for every resource is now flooded with $0 sales. Also some sales where you get *negative* resources. I was financially stable before because I sold aluminium... I'm now building lots of investment banks coz I don't think I'll be selling aluminium for a while...

A few minutes later. Someone must have been watching the market coz it's all gone.

Tripped just this moment has posted a few millions of aluminium for 111 per hundred. So... buy now while stocks last I guess!

@w0rm ah well. I'll try and steal them off you some other time :)

What is a reasonable price per 100 for diamonds? Since the market is quite empty of them I can't tell what a "proper" price is.

Yes I'd like to know how many Aluminium generators I have. They use 13,095 water is all I can tell.
7y ago
The other question W0rm is will you be selling more? Sure I have a few but I can't make them and I get nervous when I don't have a stockpile... :)

[edit] I didn't buy them off you. I don't have the storage to buy, but I get around that by placing buy orders. Then the resources count as a gift and you can overfill storage.

I just have a bonkers number of aluminium generators.

I sell quite a lot of aluminium on the market. I'm really curious to know what people are buying it for, especially a million or more at a time.

I'm excited for synthetic crystal being buildable again. Plus the new big building sounds interesting.

I'm going to pick you up on that one. The surface *pressure* on Venus is equivalent to being 900 metres underwater here on Earth, but the *density* of the atmosphere is 67kg/m^3, or 6.7% the density of water. I'm looking for the viscosity now.

OK, the viscosity of Venus' atmosphere at the surface is roughly twice that of sea level Earth's. I will confess now though that my area of study is plant biology and cell biology, not engineering or physics, so I'm not at all qualified to talk in depth about viscosity in gases.
