Hmm, haven't been able to build anything with tundra rovers since the update. nothing comes up when i try to. playing on chrome in windows.

Although I can harvest synthetic crystalline, since it started spreading, I can't clear even a single square of it. I had a part of my map set up as a sort of crystalline farm (pic attached). No number of tundra rovers can make a dent in it, and the problem has coincided with a significant amount of lag. If I delete a road or wall adjacent to crystalline, it is almost immediately filled in with spreading crystal.

I'd guess that this can be replicated by creating a large area of synthetic crystalline surrounded by roads and\or walls.

This happened to me once, as well, but hasn't continued.

Well, that seems fixed, and boy did it get out of hand quickly, lol. Left the game alone for a bit and a whole bunch of tundra rovers were swallowed up in growing fields of crystal. Fortunately i had backed up just before, so no problem there. Thank goodness they don't jump over roads. Oh, and, I'm rich!
Thanks!

It would be great if you could drag a box to select a group of buildings, then deactivate\activate\sell\destroy all of them as a group. Sometimes I want to turn on 10 regolith furnaces out of 100, and it's tedious to click and turn on all of them individually. And it would be much easier to remodel sections of your map. The boxes would probably need to go parallel with the gridlines, though, unlike those you can use now to select groups of bots.

It would also be great if you could serially select or deselect bots\rovers, e.g. hold down control to select more than one but fewer than all, or select all and ctrl-click one to deselect. Or if you could assign them to different groups with hotkeys.

Love the game. Ruining my grades lol.

Still playable (my LIS colony is at 6.6k), but synthetic crystal not spreading. And what sniperfido said. Still my fave colony so far.

It's still a really hard planet to play. The synthetic crystalline is supposed to regenerate, but (at least for me), it isn't as of now. The problem this creates is that you'll run out of crystals, and then run out of regolith, and you unless you've been extremely careful you won't be able to regenerate enough synthetic crystal to keep your regolith furnaces burning.

Thankfully, I've finally gotten past that point. You have to be EXTREMELY conservative with resources, especially regolith (don't build too many furnaces, or if you do make sure you deactivate surplus, and don't convert too much into ore, you can always do it later). But if you prioritize research early on, you can eventually get a nuclear reactor. At which point you can move on without worrying about running out of fuel for your power stations. My colony is up to 330 now.

Nope, they don't spread atm.

bastecklein said:Yes it is supposed to spread, quite a bit faster than the trees do. The natural crystalline does not spread, only the synthetic that you "plant" yourself.

Hmm, mine doesn't seem to be doing so. Does it require atmosphere as trees do?

Struggling with the same thing here. In the description for synthetic cyrstalline, it says "be careful because it spreads," but I have a few synthetic crystalline deposits sitting there and they don't seem to spread, or regenerate after being partially harvested.

Best I've come up with so far is keeping my colony tiny, prioritizing research early then shutting everything down except a bunch of distilleries (use rum to make synthetic crystalline, but it takes forever) and a microchip factory (also taking forever). next step is to get an aluminum refinery, then a nuclear powerplant, at which point I'll be able to generate power without burning regolith, turn all my buildings back on, and harvest all the very-tradeable uranium on the map.

what screwed me the first time- too many regolith compactors, you don't need much ore and any excess is coming out of the regolith you need to keep your furnaces burning. any unnecessary construction.

Also, any extra furnaces above what you need for power (if you're like me you're used to building solar panels ten at a time) are going to eat into your resources with no gain. Turn off any buildings you don't need at that moment, and any regolith furnaces you've freed up as well.

Even if this works, it's going to take at least a day running to get the 200 microchips needed for an aluminum refinery and 450 for a nuclear reactor. possibly several days.

Is the synthetic crystalline supposed to spread, as it warns in the description? If it doesn't spread or regenerate, it's almost impossible to get past the end of your supply of crystal on an LIS ice world.
