Factory doesn't produce even if staffed.

I started my very own colony yesterday and unfortunatly am already confronted with an issue ^^. I recently unlocked the Microship Factories but those don't seem to produce anything :/. I built two, they are accessible by road, powered, staffed and ll but even after a few hours they don't seem to produce anything..
So if maybe someone could enlighten me ? :)

Even though staffed, you may not have active workers. When you click the building you should see a bar with 3 numbers separated by slashes.
Example: 1/3/3
This means that one worker is on duty, 3 workers are assigned (2 off duty), and a total of 3 workers can staff the building. If the first number is 0, then there are no workers on duty and the building will not produce. You can also click the bar icon on the menu that comes up when you click the building for more details.
You may also be out of the resource(s) required to make the microchips. The microchip factory requires gold to produce microchips. No gold = no microchips.
