Hello, I recently started a new colony under the League of Independent States and have some questions about what exactly they can do. For starters, are they unable to build the space elevator, and is that because the black market bazaar performs the same function? Secondly, I thought after I had completed research of the ancient alien language I would be able to build aluminum generators, but I cannot find where to build the extraterrestrial builder. I've looked through the tech tree, and encyclopedia but I'm having a tough time understanding if some technologies, buildings, etc. are faction specific.

Largely, LIS is the same as UE colonies. They progress in practically the same way with exception to the couple different early game buildings like the black market bazaar for instance. As for why you can't built aluminum generators, the extraterrestrial builder does in fact build them and they are built in small vehicle factories. If you do not have the option to build them yet then you probably don't have Ancient artifacts or don't have one of the other prerequisite technologies for it.
