I want to play my existing colony but also want to start a new one. I'm worried that I might loose my original game..how/can I play 2 different games?

You don't lose it. You can just load the old one again. In the past I had like 4 colonies and with load game you can switch Easley between them.

There is no limit, all colonies you start are stored on the server.

I have about 20 on one device and 10 on another with no trouble.
