How to change a game to an online game
is there a way too change a game to a online game and if the developers see this please add it in or a shortcut to do
You change it in Statistics in the Overview. Scroll down to the bottom of the Overview and you'll see an option to set the game to Online or Local mode.

I want to to switch my colony to Online mode too, but as I understand it, all the resources will be cleared.
So I'd like to know if, in case binging back my colony to a "stable" state after that is a complete failure (as almost did my last fire drill...), I still can restore a backup of my save file from before the online mode, but still usable in Offline Mode.
Also, is the "toll" just clearing the collected resources, or also the deposits and mines?

The toll is just to 'normalize' the resources you have so that you can't flood the markets with an over abundance of them. It does not affect any buildings or deposits.
Ok, then I can increase my map size before switching to online, so I can have a bunch of deposits to start again.
