Suggestions to Improve v.77

This recent update is probably my favorite update, but there are a few things that bug me.

1. Make some kind of road available to build intially. Maybe pavement and/or wood path, or maybe make the sand path free and create a driftwood path for premium.

2. Is the fisherbot shack supposed to produce electricity?

3. Add salt as a resource. Salt could be a rare resource that could be a component in food production and energy production.

4. Have more beach-themed items. Have bungalow shacks, decorative Mangroves, driftwood, etc.

5. Have a fisherman job.

6. Have water-walls

7. Continue improving the rover jumping, colonist water walking, and layering issues normally and in screenshots.

8. Have a sedimentary rock resource where regolith, ore, obsidian, and gold are in a small clump.

9. Have the small resource drop off carry wood.

10. That's all for now. Thanks @bastecklein

Roads are meant to be there to upgrade rover movement, the fastest road you can get is pavement with humans and it's cheap as dirt, literally. Paste path isn't that expensive either.

I think that the fisherbot hut is only supposed to be the drop-off point for fish.

Salt might be useful for a few things, like food and livestock production and preservation, it can be hardened into bricks to form roads or huts, and it could be used to melt ice, but I don't think that it has enough uses in the game in order to be added as a resource, even though it could have some interesting uses in the game.

More beach themed items sounds good. The more decorations, the better in my opinion, as they don't affect game performance like production buildings do.

I believe that botanists handle all of the food production, even at the hatchery, so any fishing buildings that will have workers would have the occupation of botanist. I don't think that adding a separate job would be necessary, but I still think that it would be accurate and add to the game's quality.

What do you mean by "water walls"? If you are talking about those glass walls that have the water flowing down through them, them by all means, but if you are only talking about walls like the security wall but made entirely of water, that wouldn't work, mainly because it wouldn't make sense in this type of game.

I have no doubt that bast will continue working on rover and colonist movement issues.

I don't know about the sedimentary rock resource. Perhaps a further explanation of what you mean would help others get what you're suggesting.

The small resource dropoff does serve as a wood dropoff point, I agree that it should store wood as well though, or at least have an equivilant structure for early wood gathering.

@Amorphus The new map for United Earth does not have a base road.

The Fisher shack is producing electricity currently, so I don't think that is right.

I agree with the salt, decorations, and botanists.

As in water wall, I mean a wall that can be built in water.

For sedimentary rock, a few resources are in a small clump where you can mine them. I will elaborate later.

Thanks

no problem man, didn't notice that the shack was producing electricity. Yeah that does seem right. Walls that can be built over water would be a nice addition, I can see other people using those to build decorative bays are ports. I can understand the idea of sedimentary rock, being able to mine all of the basic resources from one mine/chunk. This could work, but I would make it so that the first resource has to be depleted in order for rovers to start gathering the second resource, and the same for the third and fourth.
