Suggestion about sugar (at least for human colonies)
I think it would be nice if sugar had more uses for human colonies. More specifically, I think it would be a nice touch if there was a "bakery" or "sweet/candy shop" building that could consume it and output money or food. It could be used to attract tourists and as an entertainment building for colonists to relax, kinda like the jewelry store.
I am thinking about a cafe shop that colonists can have some coffee and cake and so relax the colonists.

Or some bioplastics synth lab that makes use of some bacteria eating those sugar and they will give plastic slowly.
