I don’t understand how this will “balance” the game. They’re no rankings. Having a lot of money is good if you need 10M aluminium fast and don’t want to scroll and buy every 100k. I made all my money selling on the market and as far as I know I didn’t used any exploit or glitch. Part of my money was going to the colonies that started on my commonwealth and some resources as well. I had a hard time getting all that money because the game always loved to crash after I opened the gifts or crashed when trying to save and I lost a lot more. 12.000.000.000.000+ was taken form my main and I only got 600.000.000.000+ left. After I can play again I won’t get anything to new players and I will sell for 20 times market price. New players will get a lot of taxes now and no payroll.

I also sold large quantities of resources in the gtb, I had to create a lot of new collonies and collect resources.
now someone is glad about the many resources and I have nothing more of it.

it is by the way already the second time that such a tax was levied.
and the prices are still way too high!

That's the exact idea / cause of the problem. Ppl using the market. Or better exploiting. It's really simple if everyone would be patient and willing to produce everything themselves this tax wouldn't exist.
