H3110 guys!

As what have @bastecklein had announced in his roadmap, My Colony will begin the open events in v1.0.0 - The 100th update of the game.

This gotta be a big step to introduce more gameplays to the game - There will be more, or infinite fun possibilities.

Like what the Infinitians had said:
Possibilities are not limited to something you churned out from numbers - They are always beyond your imagination. The infinite possibilites of the universe will amaze your life, so why not put down the numbers and discover the infinity by yorself?

So here...
Let the infinite possibilities (with the madness and evilness of the Galactic Emperor) bring us to a new age in the Space Colonization Era!
“It’s time to go on an real galactic scale, colony boys!”

Time for new batches of ideas.
(first batch will come soon!)

PART ONE - LEAGUES & RANKS

Leaderboards is one of the features suggested by @bastecklein in his roadmap for the open events. Indeed, any competitive events can’t go without leaderboards!

Here is my suggestions for the leaderboards.

Of cause, there is always a Galactic Leaderboard (global leaderboard, technically.) This shows the best colonies over the galaxy winning the most scores from the events and e.t.c.

However in such events, the leaderboards are subdivided into different League Ranks, in order to prevent the weak colonies directly compete with the strongest empires (for most cases).
To advance to the next League Rank, you have to satisify certain conditions. Mostly the colonies has to reach a good ranking in the previous League.
(P.S. The League Ranks is also considered as a fame rank.)

Here are the League Ranks I suggest, from the lowest to the highest.
  • ‘Fameless Outpost’
Where all colonies begin in their very first event they participate. truely for fameless (and newbie) colonies.
  • ‘Ordinary Colony’
You’re no longer a fameless outpost! Now your place is recognized as a formal colony by the galaxy.
  • ‘Novalette’
‘Novalette’ means a emerging town with observable potentials, just like a nova.
  • ‘Boom Colony’
Your booming colony has earned yourself a good reputation and deserves people in the solar system to know.
  • ‘Solarpolis’
‘Solarpolis’ describes a important city in a solar system, which is the centre for interstellar activities. Indeed, this is an approval of your influence and capability.
  • ‘Interstellar Hub’
Being a strong colony, the influence and fame spreads over multiple stellar systems!
  • ‘Sectoria’
The entire space sector knows the great name of your colony!
  • ‘The Landmark’
The importance of your colony qualifies to be an important place where everybody worthes to visit once in their life!
  • ‘The Galaxian’
Welcome to the world of a galactic class colony - Here, your colony is highly honoured!
  • The Grand Line Man
Only those colonies with irreplaceable importance in the galaxy can be famed with the name ‘Grand Line Man’.
(‘The Grand Line’ is the most important trade route in the galaxy - Which is the pillar of the galactic economy. Don’t get confused with the one in that Japanese manga/anime.)
  • The Supreme
The name of highest honour for the colonies - It’s only awarded by the Galactic Emperor when you are able show yorself as one of the colonies on the top.

PART 2 - PARTICIPATION & EVENT TYPES
So the next step is participation, I do mean, how can the colonies participate in the open events.
Before the colonies are able to participate in the events, of course, they must be capable sustaining their colony, and reaching a certain level of development.

These are the conditions to be satisfied:
  • The colony must have constructed a Consulate type building.
  • Reaching terraforming stage 2 (Microbe stage).
  • Constructed Event Centre type building.
  • Joined an non- AI operated commonwealth.

Once satisfying all conditions, you're ready for joining a online event!

There are choices of online events to participate into.
  • Every colony are always part of the Colony Events.
  • Commonwealths can join the Intercommonwealth Races, where commonwealths compete to earn highest marks (based on the Colony Events active) on the leaderboards instead of fighting alone!
  • If you want a epic competition, the Federations can participate in the largest Federation Warfare!

PART 3 - TYPES OF EVENTS!

Simple things here, I am introducing my ideas about competition types.

Quests of the Galactic Empire - Daily Quests
Like what Bast have suggested so far, the Galactic Empire delivers a list of quests for your colony to accomplish daily. Don't worry about quests which you're not able to accomplish, the quests will be given according to the colony's ability unlocked and capabilities. Finishing the quests adds marks to your colony on the regular leaderboards (which will reset monthly). In addition to active open events, the finished daily quests also adds score on the event leaderboards.

Emperor's Orders - Delivery Race
Events such as the Imperial Birthday and Galactic Crusade provides you a endless and ever-updating list of delivery quests to do - Try to gather the resource required and load the delivery to the Empire!

The Imperial Project - Export Race
In events such as Imperial Nuclear Arsenal Project and 30-Day Chipper Project, the Empire will ask you to export one kind of specific resource to the Empire as many as you can. The more you exports, the higher score you get!

Imperial Expansion Campaign - Colonization Race
The Empire calls for colonization on a specific type of planet! Extra quests are provided to colonies with an specific planet type. The score calculation is based on finished quests on those planets.
