I think if you got someone to make 3-5 music tracks that could be looped (and optionally turned off) it could really help make the game stick a bit more. Currently if feels a bit empty without some subtle music. You could even use open source free music that requires no credit.

actually good idea for the game antiquitas has great music so it should in this case music that makes us think of space

i remember seeing bath speak of this.
I suggested MIDI style music because its very very small lightweight in terms of file size since its just sheet music for a computer to read in text format. and has a delight retro feel to it. like a doom 1993 or sim city feel.
and there are plenty of royalty free midi's to pick from.

Yes. There's bound to be some awesome space synth midi's or something out there. :P
this is very intense and most definitely not royalty free but it sounds like a high quality midi that is also animated.

Kerbal space program uses some great space music, perhaps the developer could base his music off of it.

Yeah midi files or electronic music from the 80s would be perfect. Something kinda like the into to the show "Halt and Catch Fire".
