Adding music
I think if you got someone to make 3-5 music tracks that could be looped (and optionally turned off) it could really help make the game stick a bit more. Currently if feels a bit empty without some subtle music. You could even use open source free music that requires no credit.

actually good idea for the game antiquitas has great music so it should in this case music that makes us think of space
Kerbal space program uses some great space music, perhaps the developer could base his music off of it.
Yeah midi files or electronic music from the 80s would be perfect. Something kinda like the into to the show "Halt and Catch Fire".
