I too somehow lost all my uranium when I deactivated my nuke plant. I was just trying to go green!!! Oh well it's a new colony after being away from the game for 6 months. I know the drill, it was only 10k or so.

its 50k by 50k mate dont start talking about big numbers (i have 970m alu and the decay is 50k which is max value

I really think there is plenty of time to react and build storage if you have tons of resources. I had almost 50 million microchips and 1.5 million storage in my main, and the microchips have been dwindling for quite a while now and I still have around 33 million. I am not bothering to make a bunch of warehouses, because microchips are easy to produce. But still. The decay rate is about 50k per minute. So it takes 20 minutes for 1 million to decay. If you have 100million of something with 0 storage for it, it would take over 30 straight hours of decay for it to run out.

New colony. Built 3 H3, deactivate them, lose all H3. Harvest gold. Deactivate refineries, lose all gold.

You didn't give warning for those of that don't cheat, you punish the community for the actions of a few, and your cavalier attitude towards your userbase is pretty shocking. Some of us have left good reviews, told our friends, paid for the game and our thanks is having **WEEKS** of play/work neutralized because that's what you feel is right.

Okay, fine. Your game, your rules. At least make them consistent. You want to arbitrarily punish ALL of your users for the actions of a few, fine. Crappy community management, but you're just one guy.





And no, there wasn't time. Since gold is deleted when the refineries are gone, and there is nothing that indicates what happens to aluminum or uranium (also supposedly no limit) and no hint as to what storage they use...

Really crappy thing to do to those that supported you.

Would just be better without decay

This update forces me to think if I will still play this game. My previous colony(United Republic of Atlas) lose all of its money due to Evil Emperor's tax. Also this update make it worse on starters due to decay implemented. Lastly, and mostly I hate about this Update is the Online Connectivity requirement. It makes my colony cant connect when data sync starts. Unlike before that I can play offline, and update my colony online later. Now if you chose to play online, you need to keep online. Im very sad that 0.50 update will lead my colony to its end.

But, I will wait for the next update. Hoping it will change the Online Connectivity requirement of the game.
Sigh..

there is no 10b money cap or money cap of any kind. There was a one time tax to undo the resource hyperinflation caused by a GBT hack, and it only impacted people playing in online mode.

I agree that tweaks need to be made to the new systems and they will be, but there was no real way to give a proper warning. This update needed to go out in an emergency way. There was a hack to the GBT that threw the game's entire market into hyperinflation, making things very bad for new players. Even today the guy is still trying to hack the API, I see he's had at least 5 failed attempts already this morning.

I can lower decay rate in the future but the high rate is needed to restore balance to the game. I might remove decay altogether for offline games. But the top priority for online is keeping resource prices balanced, since resource trading is basically the main purpose of online. If people need to lose 200 billion uranium to make that happen, then that is what it is. If that causes you to ragequit then I am sorry to see you go but there is nothing I can do about it. If it causes My Colony to die as a game, then that is what happens. I will move on, learn my lesson, and steer far from trying to put online mode in a game like this again, which frankly has been nothing but a headache from day one, as well as an extra expense, particularly weighed against the relatively few players who even use online mode to begin with.
