About two weeks ago on June 13th was the ten year anniversary since I started Ape Apps. Although I did not fully quit my day job and go full time into app development until 2012, June 13th 2010 was the day I released my very first Android app, Mr. Body. At the time, I had been out of college for just over two years, living with three roommates in Kansas City, Missouri, and working as a full time software developer for a corporate financial institution. The night prior, my roommates and I were playing the board game Clue (aka Cluedo if you aren't in the U.S.), and were running low on the paper score cards that come with the board game. At that point, I got the idea to create a digital version of the score card so that we would never run into this issue again. Thus, the idea for Mr. Body was born.

I was checking out my download and usage reports this morning, and I noticed a lot of unusual activity coming from my PDF Document Scanner app. After investigating, I discovered that someone has decided to reverse engineer my app and release it under their own account using the name Classic Doc Scanner. You can see the illegitimate copy here:

I've reported the app to Google, although there has been no response or action taken. If anybody has free time on their hands, feel free to report the above app to Google. You can clearly see it is a direct rip of my own PDF Document Scanner classic, which you can see at the link below:

They didn't even bother to take their own screenshots, they just dressed up and reused mine. I am hoping that if Google gets enough reports on the app, it might actually show up on their radar and they will take action.

Level Up RPG, one of my first games that has been running strong for almost 8 years now, has just been updated to v2.19.0! This update adds several engine updates, as well as some new content. There are four new enemies, two new items, two new achievements to unlock, and a new zone to explore - Under the Sea!
