This is a small idea I have: Bastnium
Bastnium is a super alloy comprised of crystalline, uranium, gold, and aluminum. If used in the right way, it can generate power and bring your colony to the next level. Thanks again and add on to this!

sounds like a disease

Disease sounds about right. I think it would be what causes your approval to drop suddenly, so no one works, so they have no food, so they starve and don't work and you can't get them out of the cycle and eventually they all die...

Ahh BASTNIUM!

As for the original idea, I'm kind of indifferent on it. Another level up might be fun, and it would probably need a new resource, but at the moment I'd rather see complexity added to what we have (like the schools/IQ being worked on atm) and improvement tweaks to some of the mechanics/bugs that are mentioned in the bug section. Also, I feel like everything needs/uses aluminum already...

How about Bast Steel or Galactic Bronze?
Bast Steel- Made from Crystalline, Steel, Uranium, and Silver
Same properties as Bastnium.
Galactic Bronze- Made from Gold, Ore, and Silver. Upgrade from Antanium. Maybe uses in Zolarg and Reptilian Colonies.
Silver is harvested from silver mines from the silver miner. Require deep excavation.
