Ape Apps

The old forum had the shoutbox, and I am currently working on a replacement. For those of you who were members of the RP Forums, you will recognize what I am working on. I am re-configuring the old RP Chat software to work with the new Ape Apps account scheme.

The new chat will eventually be embedded into the bottom of the forum just like the old shoutbox was, but you will also be able to detach it to its own window, or even launch it as it's own stand-alone app. The beta is being worked on at the following URL:

Feel free to log in and test it out. It may go on/offline frequently as I work on it. It is still rough but I hope to have it mostly done and integrated into the website within a few days here.

The chat is now embedded at the bottom of the page. You may have to do a hard-reload to get update stylesheets

To keep the subject to one thread - a couple suggestions:

1) creating public/private chatrooms - public ones can show up in a flyout menu from the current one when detached

2) Having ones setup for different functions like game help and the like that can be tied to certain forums by default but found in the mentioned menu above as well. Give the more active players a place to interact with the new ones and answer questions or advertise (in the case of the commonwealth one).

Cant login on the chat. Can this be fixed?

I can chat without a problem

but: the chatbox says that all messages are written when I reloaded the website.
