Um I wanted to try out a texture mod because it looked cool and I wanted to try it out but I cannot get it to load on my iPad. It just shows up as a slab of text on the explorer window. Any ideas?

Yeah, Safari tries to open the file in its own window instead of saving it. Try long-pressing on the download link, and when the context menu comes up, select "Share". At the bottom will be a 'Save to Files' option (if on iOS 11). Try that

I can only save to idrive and 8t still doesn’t work. Can I change the text to something the game will understand?

i’m having the same problem with my iphone. i’m doing the long press but it can only save on my icloud and only as a text file that the import tool doesn’t recognise. any help??

Do you have a mac computer or a PC that you can download it on and then transfer it to iCloud drive? If you are on Windows this might help: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204283
