Chain Bulldoze tool

In a similar manner as we can chain build, I thought of integrating the function with bulldoze. I believe it would be a super convenient tool. If possible, the addition of also a toggle for confirmation of the action could potentially avoid mistakes.

Not sure if this concept had been suggested before, but I'd love to be able to reformat my colony with ease.

Love the gameđź’–

Yeah, I'm sure bast will add it to the game in due time. He added chain building, which people were asking for for a long time, so I'm pretty sure he will add this. We just have to show patience because he has to finish antiquitas before he can focus mostly on mc.

I might make it so that users playing with a mouse can just mousedown-drag the bulldozer over an area and go to town.

That would also be nice. Do you think that an undo would be feasible to add in case someone drags their mouse over something important by accident? I know with my clumsy fingers I'll end up bulldozing my capital with a click and drag technique, haha.

Or, maybe you could let them click and drag, and it would highlight squares to delete just like when you are placing squares to build, and it wouldn't delete the stuff in those squares until you click confirm or press enter. Would that be feasible?

I can add a confirm dialog or something, but I won't waste time putting in an undo. Just think if after months and months of people wanting to be able to delete a bunch of stuff at once, and then once they get it immediately wanting an undo feature, lol. Next I will have to add in redo, copy/paste, and then a spell checker.

spellchecker hahaha so we are now turning the game into a MS Word hahaha

But yeah I agree. Don't bother putting in Undo. There is no such thing as "undo" in life. Dialog box is a lot better since there is a warning that you actually about to delete/bulldoze something. Might be helpful though if the dialog box could indicate which buildings will be potentially deleted/bulldozed. Not sure if that will make the coding a bit difficult.

Hahaha, yeah i figured that one wouldn’t take. Thats why i included the confirmation idea, which you probably already thought of.

Yeah, a confirm box would be great! I accidentally demolished an Alien Microchip Factory while aiming for the pavement beside it. >.<
