I banned 'THISIS' so all of his $10 contracts went away.

I'm not sure if it's the solution, but having defined price ranges for every type of resource could take out all 0$ and 9bn$ spam trades and keep the prices moderate for starting players.
Also the max amount of a trade could be set and maybe tied to the gifting capacity.

Like food can be from 2$ to 100$ per 100, Aluminium from 20k to 200k and so on. (Just examples) You can't put in a lower trade and also can't put in a higher one.

No matter what you implement in game, please add these checks also on the server side, to prevent bypassing these checks with scripts that setup offers outside the game. (It was possible to put in trades negative numbers in money and ressources in the past, because the check was only in the client.)

yes it is. I remember the old forum had a section for embassy codes, could we have that here too?

They will get banned if I determine they should get banned. That is the only criteria.

Probably limit how many trade post per min to avoid spamming like what we are seeing atm. Just a simple name change and he is back. Refreshing the trades like that is similar to a DDOS attack. Normally people wont post more than 3 trades in a min, limiting it might slow it down

I was about to say that as well.
I don't think anyone can get rid of him(or her).
They'll just keep coming back with different names
The colony is called THISISNT btw

I was watching the resource spam and just saw he posts like 7 trades at once in a single category every like 5 sec.

then there should be some IP adres check and limits to how often someone can trade in an hour / per day.

and how is that reliable? I can write anything I want, doesn't have to true. And does it matter if I sell it because I want money or just feel like a good samaritan and give everything away?

Problem is everything can be produced by everyone and in very very large amounts if you play long enough and idle long enough (which is something many people do). So there is surplus of resources and surplus of money. Therefore people can request inflated prices knowing there are people who can afford it. And since people actually buy it, they prove the first person is right. People don't have a moral sense it seems to have seen this coming 100 miles away. It's been an ongoing process for months. You just can't have a completely free market and let it up to players to dictate if the prices are fair or not. Since the beginning of the GBT we have seen this doesn't work. So, like Blarg said, we should have some limits to dictate price ranges. You can't sell under and you can't sell above the range. And people should stop using the GBT as some kind of money making stock exchange machine. Having enormous amounts of money doesn't serve any purpose, except to just look at a big number and buy high priced resources from the GBT and with that keeping the inflation in place.

IP checks can be problematic, because many mobile phones are behind a CGNAT IP address.
Would be better to limit by charter code.
