Yeah that is because you are playing on a region, and backing up a region save does not back up all of the sub colonies, you can only do cross-platform region game with cloud sync right now. That is a separate issue though, if you want to test this on 0.78.0 you would have to start a new game for testing purposes.

Anyway, I am going to go ahead and start compiling the bug fix update after lunch here and see if it helps. The issues may be fixed, but I have been unable to test them to verify. If the issues persist, I will hopefully be able to get more feedback and analytics data tracked before v0.79.

The .78 update fixed the issues, all invisible buildings are gone and bots are building normally again.
Thnx for fixing it and hope it didn't distract you too much from the holidays :D

Now have the copy of 0.78 from Microsoft Store, building issue sorted, as is the case of the disappeared ocean. Thanks.

I'm just importing the files, cloud sync and save compression are both off.

I'm able to open old cities in 0.78 on steam and my bots seem to be working correctly.

Glad its working for everyone!

Yeah with the importing regions issue, I think I am going to have to add a special feature for exporting regions, that zips all of the files up into an archive. The only complication will be getting it to work on the Web version, given the memory constraints imposed by the browser.

is there a way to maybe change the way the regions generates the save file? the string of numbers make it difficult to tell what map is associated with what

I downloaded the newest update and the Water World files load and operate correctly. Robots are 'botting and the files load and save correctly except for one thing instantly noticeable.
The research progress is reset to the start state every time a Water colony is loaded.
Resources and production seem intact, but all research done is reset.
